Budget Proposal Guidelines

Parents and Teachers!!!
Do you have a program or fundraising idea that you would like to implement?
Friends of Ray/Ray PTA has begun its annual budgeting process.   

Ray PTA/Friends of Ray has an annual budget process to ensure that Friends of Ray/Ray PTA funds are allocated in the best way possible. We began this process several years ago in order to encourage recipients of Friends of Ray/Ray PTA funds to think in advance about the financial support they will need for the next school year.

We try to ensure that the budget reflects the entire Ray community. If you would like to serve on the Budget Committee, please e-mail danaroby@gmail.com or drop a note in the President’s box in the office or phone me at 773 294-7165. A copy of the current budget is available upon request (we hope to have it on-line soon!).

The Budget Committee will meet several early mornings in April and early May to review proposals, discuss the budget for next year and present a proposed budget at the Friends of Ray/Ray PTA general membership meeting in May. Except for certain line items, which will be discussed in the Committee, funding will be considered only if it is accompanied by a written proposal for next year.

If you wish to seek Friends of Ray/Ray PTA funding for next year, please submit a written statement/proposal setting forth your request and the amount you are seeking. Please turn in proposals by April 22, 2010. You may leave them in the PTA President’s mailbox in the Main Office, or email a file attachment to Dana Roby.

If you would like to submit a fundraising idea, please provide a detailed written description of the idea, including expenses and projected revenue as well as the number of volunteers needed for implementation.

We value your input. It is essential to this process and Friends of Ray/Ray PTA appreciates your taking the time to complete this important task. Please Dana Roby with any questions in the meantime.
